Lipogems regenerative therapy
Lipogems regenerative therapy
Regenerative orthopedics is a new wave of scientific and bio-technological revolution with final aim to non-operatively regenerate damaged tissues of the musculoskeletal system.
Implantation of artificial joint as an operative treatment has represented for many years one and only solution in treatment of advanced cases of damaged joints. The revolutionary process of biological treatment with autologous mesenchymal stem cells (MSC ) has enabled speedy recovery and has produced efficient results in aim to avoid classic operations.
Stem cells have an ability to transform in any type of a mature cell. We do find them in bone marrow and abundantly in our fat tissue, the so called adipose MSC. The medical research has shown that adipose cells are ideal biological foundation for tissue regeneration.
Lipogems – the newest technique of regenerative therapy is based on aspiration of a sample of patient’s own fat tissue which contains a large number of MSC-s , sample is than prepared with specialized process and finally injected to painful joint. Transferred Lipogems aspirate may regenerate damaged tissue like the affected joint cartilage in our knees
The whole Lipogems process is carried out in sterile conditions, in one short pain free procedure, applying local anesthesia.
One of the biggest advantages of this technique is besides promising results , it’s minimal invasive nature and the speed of the actual procedure, without need for patient’s hospitalization.
Lipogems regenerative therapy is applied primarily in the knee area and the possibilities of its application are open to a hip or a shoulder, and in other fields of regenerative medicine.
